OSR developped a river-wide network for measuring suspended matters and associated contaminants on the entire length of the Rhône River. This network includes 12 permanent stations on the Rhône and its main tributaries (Arve, Fier, Saône, Gier, Isère, Drôme, Durance, Ardèche and Gardon). All data collected is validated, banked and made available online via the BDOH-OSR database.
Are you looking for scientific data on the hydro-sedimentary processes of the Rhône River? Consult the Rhône Sediment Observatory data catalog. It provides a description of all available data, allowing consultation or downloading, and specifying the conditions for reuse.
Can’t find the data you’re looking for? Do you have any questions about the data or its use? You can contact us.
The Rhône Sediment Observatory contributes to the OHM Rhône Valley Photo Library. This library brings together iconographic resources (photographs, maps, sketches, etc.) collected and made available by scientists. The photo library is participative. To submit your photographs or illustrations, please contact us.
OSR is participating in the development of ChronoRhône, an interactive andcollaborative spatio-temporal application for the Rhône River. ChronoRhône is a rich database available to all those interested in the Rhône river’s history. For researchers and managers, it is a tool that can be used to raise new scientific and operational questions.
